Troubleshoot email and SMS delivery

Check recipient details, settings, sms usage, and delivery status to identify and resolve the problem safely.

Check the recipient, company notification settings, SMS usage, and the exact action that should have sent the message.

Choose the correct notification layer

  • Personal notifications in the bell inbox are separate from messages sent to customers or employees.

  • For company-wide system alerts, open Settings > Notification center > System notifications and check which system users are selected as recipients.

  • Customer and employee messages have their own settings tabs. If a setting says it is controlled by each work order, also check the notification setting on the originating order or job.

  • Changing a global recipient does not resend an earlier message; it affects the next matching event.

Check the message setup

  1. Confirm the recipient's email address or phone number, including country code.

  2. Confirm that the document or workflow has the intended recipient selected.

  3. Open Settings > Notification center > Settings and review whether the relevant notification is enabled, its timing, and its message.

  4. Open SMS usage when the failed delivery is an SMS and review the available usage information.

Retry safely

  1. Correct the recipient or setting before retrying.

  2. Send the message once and allow time for delivery; repeated clicks can create duplicate messages.

  3. Ask the recipient to check spam or blocked senders for email and blocked numbers for SMS.

  4. If it still fails, contact Between support with the recipient, message type, time, originating customer/order/job/invoice, and any visible error. Do not include sensitive message content unless necessary.
