Manage customer details

Update customer information and open the customer's related activity.

Keep a customer's contact information up to date and use the customer record to find related work.

Open the customer record

  1. Open Contacts from the left navigation.

  2. Search or filter the list when needed.

  3. Select the customer you want to manage.

The header shows the customer's name and available contact information. It also identifies whether the record is private or business and whether it is used as a customer, partner, or subcontractor.

Review the customer activity

  • Overview shows a summary, recent activity, logs, and notes.

  • Details shows the main customer and invoice information.

  • Request, Quotes, Jobs, Invoices, and Orders (Projects) show records connected to the customer.

  • Addresses contains the customer's saved addresses.

  • Contacts appears for a business customer and contains its contact people.

  • Attachments contains files saved on the customer.

Select a tab to load that part of the customer record.

Edit the customer information

  1. Select Edit in the customer header.

  2. For a private customer, update the name, phone, email, language, or address.

  3. For a business customer, update the company name, organisation number, phone, email, language, or address.

  4. When an accounting integration is enabled, review the linked accounting customer if it is shown.

  5. Select Save.

The first name remains required for a private customer. The company name and organisation number remain required for a business customer.

Create work for the customer

  1. Select Create in the customer header.

  2. Choose whether to create a lead, quote, job, order, or invoice.

  3. Complete the selected workflow.

Between passes the customer into the new record so you do not need to select it again.

Delete a customer

  1. Select Delete in the customer header.

  2. Confirm the deletion.

Between returns to Contacts after the customer is deleted.
